This study aims to use participatory methods to involve teachers and rural communities in understanding and harnessing the potential reciprocal relationships for the professional development of teachers and community wellness generally, and for enhancing teaching and learning in rural schools.
The purpose of this study is to draw attention to the absences of a rural voice in several other studies. It addresses the question: How can professional development and community wellness enhance teaching and learning in rural schools?
